Stations 3 & 7 participate in the 2005 Rude Awakening Drill at Mater Dei High School and Middletown High School North. The demonstration shows a serious motor vehicle accident caused by an underage Drunken Driver. The accident requires extrication and results in passenger fatalities. The demonstration is a reminder to High School students to refrain from drinking and driving and is held around Senior Prom time.  

As a part of the demonstrations, the Middletown Township Police Department demonstrates the effects of high speed collisions with the use of a crane and three vehicles. The vehicles are dropped from the crane at various heights to simulate collisions with a wall at various speeds.
